How long does meat delivery take in Australia?
Delivery time depends on your state. Victorian metro orders arrive 1 to 2 business days after dispatch. NSW, SA and ACT metro take 2 to 3 business days. QLD, WA and TAS metro take 3 to 5 business days. Regional postcodes in any state add 1 to 2 days on top.
How much does delivery cost?
Shipping is a flat $30 Australia wide regardless of order size or weight, and free on orders of $450 or more. Enter your postcode at checkout to confirm the exact cost for your delivery address.
Which days do you dispatch orders?
We dispatch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday by express courier, with a 12pm cut-off for same-day dispatch. Orders placed after the cut-off are packed and shipped on the next dispatch day so the cold chain is never broken by a weekend in transit.
Do you deliver to my area?
We deliver to New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT, covering both metropolitan and regional postcodes. We do not currently deliver to the Northern Territory, and a number of remote postcodes sit outside our courier network. Enter your postcode at checkout to confirm availability, cost and the exact timeline for your address.
Which areas can you not deliver to?
We cannot currently reach the Northern Territory, or these remote areas: Broken Hill in New South Wales, Mount Isa and Warwick in Queensland, Albany, Broome, Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Karratha and Port Hedland in Western Australia, and Mount Gambier, Port Augusta, Port Lincoln and Whyalla in South Australia. If you are in one of these areas, please contact us before ordering and we will tell you if anything has changed.
How is the meat kept cold in transit?
Every order ships in an insulated box with chilled gel packs that hold safe meat temperature for up to 24 hours in transit and a further 12 hours once delivered. Meat arrives chilled, never frozen, ready to refrigerate or freeze on arrival. You receive tracking by email and SMS from dispatch through to delivery.
Can I collect my order instead of having it delivered?
No, we do not currently offer pickup. Every order is packed and processed for cold chain delivery to your nominated address. If you have a bulk or catering order that needs special handling, contact us at orders@costcutmeats.com.au to discuss the options.
Do you deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers?
No, we deliver to physical street addresses only. Chilled meat has to be received and refrigerated promptly, and couriers cannot leave refrigerated parcels at PO boxes or parcel lockers. Use a residential or business address where someone can receive the parcel or where it can be safely left in the shade.
