Shipping & Delivery Policy

Premium meat needs premium handling. Here is how Cost Cut Meats ships your order so it arrives cold, safe, and ready to cook.

Chilled, never frozen

All Cost Cut Meats orders are shipped chilled using temperature-controlled, HACCP-certified cold courier services. Every order is packed with insulated liners and food-grade ice packs to maintain peak quality from our facility to your door.

Where We Ship

We deliver Australia-wide, with coverage across metropolitan, regional, and select remote postcodes. Delivery availability and timing can vary based on your location.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, order weight, and the level of cold-chain handling required.

We frequently run free shipping promotions for orders above a minimum spend threshold. Current shipping offers are displayed at checkout.

Order Processing

Orders are processed and prepared by our team Monday to Friday. Orders placed before our daily cut-off are typically dispatched the same day or the next business day, depending on your delivery location.

Orders placed over the weekend or on public holidays are processed on the next business day. We do not dispatch orders late in the week if they would otherwise sit in transit over a weekend, in order to protect product quality.

Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery times vary based on your location and the courier service used. As a guide:

  • Metro areas: Typically 1 to 2 business days after dispatch
  • Regional areas: Typically 2 to 4 business days after dispatch
  • Remote postcodes: May take longer; we will confirm timing if relevant

You will receive a tracking link by email or SMS once your order has been dispatched.

Delivery requirements

  • Someone should be available to receive the delivery, or have a safe, shaded location for it to be left
  • Delivery addresses must be accessible to standard couriers
  • Once delivered, refrigerate or freeze your order as soon as possible
  • We cannot redirect deliveries after dispatch, so please double-check your address at checkout

How Your Order Is Packed

Every order is packed with care:

  • Individual cuts are vacuum-sealed or cryovac-wrapped to lock in freshness
  • Orders are placed inside insulated thermal liners
  • Food-grade ice packs are added to maintain temperature in transit
  • Boxes are sealed and labelled with handling instructions

Our packaging is designed to keep your meat at safe temperatures for the duration of transit under normal courier conditions.

Missed or unattended deliveries

If a delivery cannot be completed because no one was available and there was no safe place to leave the order, additional fees may apply for redelivery. We strongly recommend ensuring someone is available, or providing safe-drop instructions at checkout.

Damaged Orders or Delivery Delays

If your order arrives damaged or delayed beyond reasonable expectations, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving (or the expected delivery date) so we can investigate and resolve the issue.

Click & Collect

For customers in select areas, click-and-collect options may be available. If offered, you will see the option at checkout. Please bring your order confirmation and ID when collecting your order.
